So what is a "KiddieCave?" Well, in most cases it is a closet under the stairs that is cleared out and made into a children's playroom that is within range of the main living areas. Depending on the size there are a number of things that can be done to the space, including shelving or seating options. If you have toddlers, it is a great place to put toys that would otherwise dominate your living areas. For older kids, it can be a little retreat or quiet area that they can play their hand-held games, read or hang out.
There are a number of fun things that you can do to the space depending on the child's age and preferences. For example, a Nascar track that wraps around the room, a Faux Garage-Workshop, Reading Tree, Elmo's World, the child's Favorite Story book, Jungle theme, safari theme, Barn theme, Castle/Princess theme, Schoolhouse theme and more. For little kids, it is fun to add a chalkboard wall for them to color on. Or even a row of corkboard to pin up art projects. For older kids, some bean bag chairs and older decor may suit them better.
